Technicians Staff

We’d like to introduce you to our team of Veterinary Technicians. We believe strongly that we’ve assembled one of the finest teams of animal professionals to treat and assist your pet. Our technicians are the right-hand of our Doctors, gathering case information, preparing your pet for their visit, and assisting with surgeries, anesthesia and hospitalization.

B3a Staff-Mgmt-BrittanyBrittany, Licensed Veterinary Technician & Office Manager

I grew up on a dairy farm near Ithaca, NY. I attended the Veterinary Technology Program at SUNY Alfred, graduating in 2007. I started at the Animal Clinic of East Avenue in August 2008 and have loved it ever since. I love time with my family and friends, keeping up with my high-energy toddler Collin, and very much enjoy the great outdoors. I have a springer spaniel named Harley and two cats named Bo and Lola. I really enjoy taking time to get to know the clients and forming a relationship with them and their pets.

Staff-Tech-Erin-254pxErin - Licensed Veterinary Technician

I earned my associates degree in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Canton in 2005.  I joined the Animal Clinic of East Avenue team in January 2012.  I have always had a passion for animals and brought home my first stray cat at the age of six.  My home includes 4 cats [ Peanut, Butter, Wolfgang, and Ditch], a dog named Stinky and 2 fish named Teddie and Freddie.  All my animals have been rescues and  I intend to rescue many more in my life.

B2c-Staff-tech-JulieJulie - Licensed Veterinary Technician

My Name is Julie. I graduated from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY in 2006 with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. I began working at the Animal Clinic of East Avenue in July 2006. I would like one day to specialize in veterinary dentistry for Technicians. In May 2012 I purchased my first home, which I currently share with my 4 cats, (Tommy, Laney, Meow Meow and Luna) and my Boxer, Logan. I have lots of fish and an outdoor fish pond. I enjoy hiking, gardening and warm weather.

Angela 2016Angela, Licensed Veterinary Technician

I graduated from Genesee Community College with my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014.  I joined the Animal Clinic of East Avenue in July of 2015.  I also work Part Time but in my free time, I love to be outdoors or spending time with my family and friends.  I live in a townhouse with my 2 cats: Blaze and Scar Face.  I've always had a passion for animals and knew I wanted to be a part of this profession since I was a little girl.

Ashleigh, Licensed Veterinary Technician

I earned my Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College in 2016.  I recently joined the Animal Clinic of East Avenue team, but I have worked with animals since 2009.  I live in a small house in Irondequoit with my 2 dogs ( Nala and Duke) and 2 cats( Trixi and Boon). I try to spend a lot of time outside no matter the season; in the winter I spend my time hunting and in the warmer months I love to fish, take my dogs for a walk and go camping.  I love working with animals and hope to one day further my education and degree.

Pet Health Tips

Fleas and Ticks:

We are seeing more and more ticks on our pets in our area.  Particularly if you travel east or south of Rochester.  Although we do not want these insects that carry diseases on our precious companions, we also do not want them in our environment to bite us as well.  There are many topical and oral flea and tick preventions available to help protect our pets and environment.  Some incorperate heartworm and intestinal prevention and some do not.

Check out information about Ticks in your environment @ http://www.dogsandticks.com/diseases_in_your_area.php or you can look up the area you and your pet will be traveling to in order to protect yourself and your pet.

As always, talk to us about preventives when you come in.
