Dr. Carolyn Orr, VMD – Owner & Veterinarian
I came to Rochester shortly after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine and this rapidly become my family’s beloved home. During my first year in Rochester, I served an internship in advanced medicine and surgical procedures with a prominent regional practice. In 1996, I re-opened the Animal Clinic of East Avenue in Brockport, NY following a three-year medical leave by the practice’s founder, Dr. Sykes. After a few years of re-establishing the practice, I purchased the Animal Clinic of East Avenue as my own. After several successful years in the original facility at 18 East Avenue, we moved next door to our new home at 24 East Avenue (next door) in 2011. Our new state-of-the-art facility features advanced surgical, examination, hospitalization and isolation suites and provides us the much-needed space to serve our growing customer base. We offer the full compliment of telemedicine, chemotherapy, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory and diagnostics technologies, and even have indoor facilities for obedience training and behavioral medicine. Over the years, I have strived to serve each and every patient with genuine Care, Compassion and Commitment, and I instill this value across our entire team. In my spare time, I enjoy orienteering, skiing, boating and spending time with my husband, children, dogs, and horses. I have instructed vet tech courses at Medaille College, served as President and board member of The Buffalo Academy (a regional Veterinary Continuing Education Organization) and currently sit on the steering committee for the Monroe County Emergency Response Team.
Dr. Jennifer Williamson, DVM – Veterinarian
I am originally from Poughkeepsie, New York and moved to Rochester shortly after graduating from veterinary school, and have been practicing veterinary medicine in the area for the past 6 years. I attended SUNY Delhi and became a veterinary technician prior to attending Cornell University to complete my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. It was during my technician training and work that I realized I wanted to further my education. I graduated from Kansas State University with my Veterinary Doctorate in 2010. Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, and cooking. My family includes my Jack Russel Mix named Ollie who was adopted from lollipop farms shortly after moving to the area. I look forward to meeting all the wonderful patients and families and to help your pets live a long, happy and healthy life together.
